Official methodology to test criterion 12.3
Test 1 (12.3.1)
- Check that the site map is representative of the general architecture of the site (see note).
- If this is the case, the test is validated.
Note: A site map that is too complex or too deep is not recommended as an aid to navigation. Not all pages need to be included in the site map if they can be reached, for example, from the home page of a section or catalogue.
Test 2 (12.3.2)
- Check that all the links in the site map are working.
- If they are, the test is validated.
Test 3 (12.3.3)
- For all the links in the site map, check that they are up to date (neither out of date nor in error) and lead to the page indicated by their text.
- If this is the case, the test is validated.
