2.1 On each screen, information must not be provided by colour alone. Is this rule respected?

Official methodology to test criterion 2.1

Test 1 (2.1)

iOS
  1. Activate the Differentiate without colour option (Settings > Accessibility > Text display and size > Differentiate without colour).
  2. Identify on the screen words or sets of words, texts, graphic elements conveying information and time-based media whose colouring conveys information.
  3. Check that there is another visual way of retrieving this information: the presence of an icon or a graphic effect of shape or position, a typographic effect, etc.
  4. Using the screen reader, access the information provided by the colour.
  5. Check that equivalent information is rendered by the screen reader (for example the "selected" status of a green button).
  6. If this is the case, the criterion is validated.
Android
