12.1 Does the application documentation describe the accessibility features available and information on accessibility compatibility?

Official methodology to test criterion 12.1

Test 1 (12.1)

iOS and Android
  1. Identify the presence of documentation in the application.
  2. Identify the presence of accessibility features in the application.
  3. Check that the documentation includes
    • a description of the application's accessibility features.
    • explanations of how to use these functions (where they are located, how to activate them);
    • a description of the complex components for which special management is in place depending on the assistive technology;
    • a description of the elements that do not comply or are not compatible with certain assistive technologies, and the presence of alternatives where appropriate.
  4. If this is the case, the criterion is validated.
